The RIS3CAT Communities are voluntary groups of companies and players in the research and innovation ecosystem in Catalonia that drive forward RDI projects in leading sectoral spheres of Catalonia’s Smart Specialisation Strategy – RIS3CAT.
In the food industry, the community is INNOÀPAT, which is coordinated by the Institute of Agri-Food Research and Technology (IRTA), and aims to encourage innovation in Catalan agri-food companies to improve their competitiveness with three major food chain challenges:
- Food and its effect on Health
- Food Safety
- Sustainability linked to the processes of the food industry
Inbrooll Industries, S.L., as an industrial product design and development company, participates in one of its SMARTPROD projects, together with 7 more participants. With the goal of developing new products for prevention, new vaccination strategies and health tools to ensure the supply of quality animal protein, thus increasing profitability, competitiveness and food security.
This is how Hipraspray was born: a vaccination system for poultry spraying that stands out for its even distribution of droplets for optimal work in terms of animal health and efficiency in the technological field.
This project is set to run for 3 years and is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and ACTION with a budget of 11 million euros.
